When writing, it can be easy to edit as you go. Unfortunately, this leads to Premature Optimization. Write for yourself, ignore editing until you're down getting your ideas out. Once you have everything written down, go back and rework things to make the most sense to you. It's extremely likely that other people think the same way you do.
