DeGoogleifying Myself
DeGoogleifying Myself
Google has long been a proponent of surveillance and many of their practices are anti-privacy. As a part of analyzing my Threat Models, I've decided that I want to introduce a few interrupts in Google's ability to monitor me. I've dug pretty heftily into the Google Home eco-system and to dig myself out would be quite difficult (outside of scrapping all the homes and getting something else). Below are a few major projects I've considered to remove Google from my life as much as possible, as part of a large goal of creating a Privacy Debt Budget.
I have a project running to track this on FutureLand.tv.
Search Engine
Replacing a search engine is pretty straightforward. The best choice I have found is using DuckDuckGo.
